For over 60 years, we have been in the ceramic district where we originated. Our approach to the local area is in line with our social commitment to benefit the community that hosts us. Discover all of Florim’s initiatives in our local area.
There is a centre dedicated to training, research and advanced medical simulation in the heart of our Fiorano headquarters. Recognised by the American Heart Association, it is a unique model that interweaves industrial culture with health culture to benefit our local community.
This innovative school project connects studies to work. We have opted for a typically Northern European training approach to bring young employees into the company. Classroom teaching alternates with internships in the various areas of the company.
More than thirty years after the untimely death of Giovanni Lucchese – founder of what was then Floor Gres, currently Florim – his family established a Foundation in his name, which since then has funded organisations and associations that support families in need in the ceramic district.
We value school and reward hard work.
This has become an important event for the local community. Every year, for over 30 years, we have awarded students at the “Alessandro Volta” Technical High School in Sassuolo who graduate with full marks. The award ceremony is held in association with Società Ceramica Italiana of Bologna and includes a talk given by a leading personality on a topic of current interest to an audience of eager young listeners.
To promote art, design, training and corporate social responsibility, driven by a desire to increase our expertise and by the pursuit of constant improvement, we have initiated various collaborations which create synergies that complement the business and help to represent the company philosophy.
ADI | Association
Since 1956 this organisation has brought together the key areas of design: concept, consumption, recycling and training. It plays a leading role in the development of industrial design as a cultural and economic phenomenon.
Altagamma Foundation
A taste for the beautiful, cultural heritage and a strong identity are just some of the qualities shared by Florim and Altagamma, the Foundation which since 1992 has brought together the ambassadors of the Italian lifestyle in the world.
American Heart Association
The oldest and most respected American voluntary organisation dedicated to the fight against cardiovascular diseases and strokes. Through SimAID, it named our Florim centre as an Authorised Training Site for basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The institutional and industry brand that represents and promotes Italian ceramic companies around the world. Synonymous with tradition, quality, innovation and creativity, we are among the companies that raise the profile of Made in Italy abroad.
Guggenheim Intrapresæ
Guggenheim Intrapresæ is the first Italian museum corporate membership project, a group of companies linked to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection that has been expressing its identity through ongoing support of the arts since 1992.
Sassuolo Hospital
A unique partnership that promotes local training for professionals both within and outside the healthcare industry, health education and information, advanced medical simulation and research. A collaboration that led to the creation of our Health&Training Centre.
POLI.design
For over 10 years, we have been a partner sponsor of a large number of Postgraduate Courses run by POLI.design, the Politecnico di Milano consortium which organises Master Degree courses and develops training with a precise focus on innovation.
