A Management System calls for continual improvement of company processes in order to obtain products that always comply with customer requirements while ensuring respect for the environment, the health and safety of personnel and the rational use of energy.
In creating its Management System the company has assumed the following undertakings:
- Respect for the statutory legislative framework and the applicable regulations, with special attention to problems related to safety, the environment and energy, and additional requirements voluntarily adopted and applicable to the organization;
- Orientation towards customers, who are valued as the company’s fundamental resource, identifying the needs to be met and assessing the level of customer satisfaction;
- Orientation in relation to the protection of the health and safety of all the persons present in the company’s workplaces;
- Orientation towards the protection of public health through respect for the environment and continuous improvement of energy performance in the socioeconomic context in which Florim operates. This context concerns the activity of production and sale of ceramic tiles. In partnership with Florim, suppliers are called upon to share our approach to quality, the environment, safety, energy use, and our improvement plans;
- Definition of measurable goals;
- Attainment of the defined quality levels with minimization of costs, to be achieved by reducing manufacturing rejects and optimizing the production process;
- Reduction of the number, duration and severity of accident events in production sites;
- Management of workplace hygiene in order to prevent accidents and occupational illnesses;
- Optimization of the use of natural resources;
- Optimization of energy efficiency by designing and purchasing energy-efficient products and services;
- Making continual improvement a permanent goal of the organization;
- Accountability and involvement of all levels of the organization in order to make all company processes increasingly efficacious and efficient;
- Creation of the necessary conditions to promote the maximum expression of ideas and proposals for improvement in all areas of the company;
- Process-based systemic approach to management;
- Development of training activities for improvement of the professional skills present in individual company functions and arrival at full awareness of how each single company function impacts on the environment, health and safety, and energy efficiency;
- Measurement and checking of the efficacy of the quality, environment, safety and energy system by means of audits and management reviews and revision of the system if deficiencies or inefficiencies are identified;
- Adoption of organizational, commercial, design and manufacturing methods that allow more punctual identification of market requirements and reduction of time to market, plus activities that are constantly focused on protection of the environment, worker health and safety and energy efficiency.
ABOUT TÜV
The certification organization is Technischer Überwachungs-Verein (TÜV), which was selected for its hallmark severity and high international standing. The organization is an independent certification and inspection body that has been operating in Italy since 1987 and it forms part of the TÜV SÜD group, founded in 1866 by a group of Bavarian businessmen and technicians.
Over the years the structure has developed steadily and internationalization of the business has contributed to sustained growth in other countries and setting up of offices in more than 60 countries worldwide
