The Tecnopolo of Modena is a regional research centre of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia comprising laboratories for industrial research and technological innovation.
For the creation of the external ventilated facade the V2 system, versatile and easy to install, has been used completed with a mineral wool panel 18 cm thick.
The cladding materials are the Floortech collection, chosen in two different sizes: 60x120 cm and 40x80 cm, both in the colour 4.0.
The main characteristics is exactly the use of two sizes and two finishings (canneté and natural), that allow creating strong visual combination.
Besides the aesthetical aspect, the facade has been designed with attention to technical elements: all the external agents resistance has been verified, especially for what concerns the seismic resistance as it is an important topic for this territory.
The Florim ventilated solution has been chosen for the low economic impact of maintenance costs in the management of the building, very appreciated for public buildings.
All the works has been dealt by Florim Solutions staff, in agreement with the client and the Politecnica designer of Modena, a very important enterprise in the national territory.
