Carnival Palace

Looking onto the Cannaregio Canal in Venice’s historic centre, the Carnival Palace is an exclusive, sophisticated 4-star design hotel situated away from the bustling tourist areas.
Sophisticated elegance, contemporary design and Venetian furnishings in 67 rooms all displaying different features. Porcelain tile is an excellent choice for floors and wall tiling in the hotel, in particular ceramic bathroom floors, as it is a strong material and resistant to wear and tear.

With the I Bianchi di Rex collection, in Calacatta colour, it was possible to fit in with the hotel’s elegant design on polished marble wall – sophisticated but not excessively modern, since the project is located in Venice’s historic centre.

The choice was dictated by the desire to design an elegant bathroom flooring, in harmony with the bedroom, keeping the colour shades neutral. The glass mosaic turns out to be the only colour accent present in the bathroom, and is inspired by the predominant colour in the bedroom.

The Pietra del Nord collection, used for the floors in the hotel lobby, is interesting because of its 80x80 large format size and offers a good base to make the furnishings stand out. With its diagonal installation and the addition of black 8x8 cm insets, this product takes on character and appeal. To enhance the common bathrooms the Casamood collection in gold colour was also used, combined with the marble effect tiles by I Bianchi di Rex in Sorrento colour.



The color of the ceramic tiles used is inspired by Calacatta marble, a perfect match with the elegance of the hotel. The luxurious bathrooms respect the interior design studied for this ambiance, but also the neutral colors of the bedrooms and the glass mosaic that gives a touch of colors to the claddings.


The use of large size 80x180 in the entrance makes the design an element of great visual impact, highlighting the details.
