Built on the success of its award-winning Traveller Lounge at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, No.1 Traveller has opened its latest space at Birmingham Airport.
The 420 square metres surface area, while incorporating subtle changes compared to the other lounges, maintains the design approach that hallmarks the other No.1 Traveller spaces, coordinating environments to make them suitable for different types of travellers.
A careful use of finishes and particular attention to the use of lighting define the areas, giving them a character delicately balanced between solitude and openness, ready to welcome users whether they be individuals or larger groups.
The hall, located immediately after security control, offers a wide range of innovative services to departing passengers: relaxing lounges, a work area, bar, bistro, self service counters, meeting rooms and news-stand corner are just some of the comforts present in the reserved area.
The spaces, which skillfully combine elegance and functionality, are marked by the use of different ceramic floor and wall claddings. The design studio Inside Out Architecture selected the refinement of the Florim brand Rex for the ceramic marble tile collections: I Marmi and I Bianchi di Rex (Paonazzetto white marble) were the stoneware tiles chosen to emphasise the elegance of the spaces with delicately nuanced marble essences on ceramic flooring.
