“Chimera” collection by CEDIT – Ceramiche d’Italia has won the 70th edition of the Good Design Awards. The world’s most prestigious and historic international design award, annually assigned by the Chicago Athenaeum, Museum of Architecture and Design in collaboration with the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, received this year a record number of submissions.
Chimera was selected among over 900 products from over 48 countries for its unique design rich in symbolism and for its innovative surface decoration technique capable of creating three-dimensional tactile elements of extraordinary effect. The series, designed by Elena Salmistraro for CEDIT, was awarded in the “floor and wall covering” category and will be included in the GOOD DESIGN Yearbook of 2020-2021.
