Compatta, designed by Federico Peri for CEDIT, has won the Best of The Year award in the “finishes” category at the Frame Awards. This award is created by the eponymous magazine to promote the most interesting projects and products in the international architecture and design scene.
As usual, the award involved a diverse jury composed of prominent figures in the fields of interior design, architecture, cultural institutions, and luxury brands who, over the course of a year, expressed their public votes on the Frame website. Each juror provided their judgment, evaluating the following aspects one by one: innovation, functionality, creativity, and sustainability. Compatta achieved the highest score among all the candidate surfaces.
Among the various reasons given in support of Compatta, it is stated that “it has been recognized for its ability to create a wonderful sense of natural beauty while also providing a pattern that reminds us of vast open spaces, making us feel serene.” With this collection, ceramic material connects with nature and becomes almost a means to connect with the earth as a primal and primitive material.
