The Storie collection by CEDIT – Ceramiche d’Italia has received the Good Design Award, one of the most historic and prestigious recognition on the International Design scene, in the “floor and wall coverings” category.
Receiving great acclaim from Design critics, the Storie collection designed by Studio Zanellato/Bortotto offers large porcelain slabs with a visual expressiveness inspired by the slow and fascinating fading over time of plasters and masonry decorations in traditional Italian architecture.
The Good Design Award, organized by the Chicago Athenaeum-museum of architecture and design, was established in Chicago in 1950 by international renowned architects and designers Edgar Kaufmann Jr., Eero Saarinen, and Charles and Ray Eames.
The jury, composed by design professionals and experts, industrial specialists and design journalists, rewards the most innovative products which will be permanently displayed inside the Chicago Athenaeum.
With the Storie collection designed for CEDIT, the young designers Giorgia Zanellato and Daniele Bortotto have charmed once again an international jury, after winning in 2017 the Red Dot Design Award in the Best of the Best category.
