Telling design through the language of cinema was the objective of the event that took place on Tuesday, November 28th, featuring Florim and Elle Decor as part of the elledecor.it Cinema project – a showcase of short films, feature films, and documentaries related to design disciplines.
The MAXXI (National Museum of 21st Century Arts) in Rome provided the backdrop for the screening of the documentary about Eileen Gray, a timeless design icon who lived between the 19th and 20th centuries.
With the film “Gray Matters” by Marco Orsini, Florim and Elle Decor retraced the life of the Irish designer and architect Gray – a pioneer of the Modern Movement – whose creative vocabulary stood out for avant-garde design where materials, surfaces, and colors were the result of constant and tireless research. Characteristics that should also distinguish high-profile companies in our times.
