Hadi Teherani Architects, a well-known international architecture firm, designed the "Volksbank-Areal" building complex, which includes a bank, a high school and a hotel. The architect Dr. Christian Bergmann, project manager and partner of Hadi Teherani Architects, was responsible for the development of all aspects related to the building's design, from the architecture to the interior planning.
The project, which comprises a total of 43,000 m2, started in October 2018 and was handed over on 29 September 202. The Volksbank Areal has been awarded the gold certificate by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
The structure reflects the contemporary and elegant style typical of Hadi Teherani's projects, paying particular attention to the shapes and the alternation of materials and to the cultural and environmental context of the place, i.e., the city of Freiburg im Breisgau. The goal was to build a multifunctional space, capable of offering the visitor, student and professional the maximum comfort and well-being both in the workplace and in the leisure time.
Various Florim porcelain stoneware products were involved in the interior design of the Volksbank Freiburg bank and the Hotel Courtyard by Marriott
The clean and versatile look of the Industrial collection - Sage colour, matt/natural surface - completes and emphasizes the elegance of the hotel hall. The same clean style can be found in the definition of the innermost areas of the hotel. The floors and walls of the hotel bathrooms belong to the Pietre/3 collection, selected in the Limestone Pearl colour.
The central hall of the Volksbank Freiburg is clad with the Industrial collection, in Ivory color with a special decoration format, designed by the Hadi Teherani studio, which recalls a Barcode.
