REGISTRATION OF JOURNALISTS FOR PRESS RELEASES PRIVACY NOTICE

Articles 13-14 of EU Regulation 2016/679 – GDPR

 

GENERAL INFORMATION (GDPR - Articles 13-14, Paragraph 1, Letters a, b)

Journalists receiving this notice are informed, as data subjects (per Article 4, paragraph 1 of the GDPR), that sending press releases by Florim involves processing personal data related to them. Below, we provide specific information (per Articles 13-14 of the GDPR) related to different processing areas, starting with the following general principles:

  • All data are processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently in relation to the data subject, in accordance with the general principles set out in Article 5 of the GDPR;
  • Specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss, unlawful or incorrect use, and unauthorized access;
  • The Data Controller is Florim Ceramiche S.P.A. SB;
  • The Data Controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) whom you can contact to exercise all the rights provided by Articles 15-21 of the GDPR (right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, opposition), as well as to withdraw previously given consent or to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority. 1.  PURPOSES (GDPR - Article 13, Paragraph 1, Letter c - Article 14, Paragraph 1, Letters c, d)

The collected data corresponds to personal data necessary solely for sending press releases, following direct contacts at events and/or dedicated meetings with Florim representatives, as well as through possible and autonomous access to databases aimed for informative purposes.

 

2. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING (GDPR - Article 13, Paragraph 1, Letter d)

Processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Data Controller or by a third party, provided that the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not prevail, especially if the data subject is a child. The legal basis for such processing is provided by Article 6, paragraph 1, letters a, b.

 

3. SCOPE OF PROCESSING (GDPR - Articles 13-14, Paragraph 1, Letters e, f)

Data are processed through computer and/or manual procedures, specifically by duly authorized and trained functionaries pursuant to Article 29 of the GDPR by Florim or group companies. This includes any necessary communication to subjects acting as external Managers, who may contribute to the processing for technical purposes. The personal data processed will in no way be made known to undetermined subjects, also excluding the international transfer of data, especially to countries outside the EU.

 

4. DATA RETENTION PERIOD (GDPR Articles 13-14, Paragraph 2, Letter a)

Data will be processed and stored for a period of time necessary to achieve the aforementioned purposes.

 

5. RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT (GDPR Articles 15-22)

At any time, the data subject may exercise the right to:

  • request confirmation of the existence or absence of their personal data.
  • obtain information about the purposes of processing, the categories of personal data, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be communicated, and, where possible, the period of storage.
  • obtain rectification and erasure of data.
  • obtain restriction of processing.
  • obtain data portability, i.e., receive the data from a data controller in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and transmit them to another data controller without hindrance.
  • object to processing at any time and also in the case of processing for direct marketing purposes.
  • object to an automated decision-making process related to natural persons, including profiling.
  • lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
