Italian Design Day in the World 2026, LA
April 23, 2026
Within the context of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Florim will host the Italian Design Day in the World 2026 in Los Angeles. The initiative will feature a high-level panel discussion with the participation of the Consul General of Italy in Los Angeles, Damiano Gullì and Francis Anderton, with Florim serving as the hosting venue for the event. The aim is to highlight design as a driver of cultural and social transformation, capable of fostering new connections between industry, territory and communities—values that fully reflect Florim’s commitment as a B Corp.
The Italian Design Day in the World – Italian Design Day (IDD) is an annual thematic event launched in 2017 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture. It is structured as a broad programme of promotional initiatives worldwide, carried out through the network of Embassies, Consulates, Italian Cultural Institutes and ICE offices abroad: each year, on this occasion, more than one hundred ambassadors share the story of Italian design and creativity. Now in its tenth edition, the Italian Design Day in the World has established itself as one of the most successful examples of cultural and economic diplomacy, showcasing abroad the innovation of Italy’s production system and promoting the internationalisation of a strategic sector for exports and for the country’s image. The tenth edition of the Italian Design Day in the World – Italian Design Day (IDD) offers an opportunity for reflection on design and architecture as tools for regenerating both the spaces of everyday life for individuals and communities, and materials and objects.
Access to the event is granted upon registration by contacting events@florim.com.
