Segnature
A composition of refined and subtle signs emerging like traces, ready to interact with light in a delicate landscape between vision and sensory reality.

Inspired by the regular patterns of crepe paper and the delicate veins of the plant world, particularly their leaf structures, Segnature explores—through the density of porcelain stoneware—the relationship between sign and surface, gesture and substance. It develops a theorem of surface textures, subtle and almost impalpable, born from careful observation of nature, reinterpreted through a design filter that combines precision and lyricism.

The textures and movements that define and identify the surfaces intersect within a visual grid that generates a series of imperceptible perceptual shifts, giving depth and dynamism to a ceramic surface that reveals its originality both visually and to the touch.

In the author’s vision, industrial ceramics become an evocative surface, capable of welcoming light, suggesting gestures, and shaping environments with discretion and depth. Through this design approach, Cristina Celestino takes another step in her path of refined experimentation, reaffirming the power of design as a form of skilled writing in habitable spaces.

The inspirations for Segnature come from the delicate veins of the plant world, the subtle structures of crepe paper, and certain minimal geometries of textile patterns.
