Health Talks
FLORIM organizes and promotes “Health Talks”, events open to the local community dedicated to prevention and the promotion of healthy lifestyles. During these meetings, doctors and experts address topics related to health and well-being, offering useful information and answering questions from the audience.
The initiative represents an important opportunity for dialogue between the healthcare sector and the community, with the aim of raising awareness around prevention.
Employee Initiatives
Our commitment to people’s health and well-being also takes shape through a range of initiatives dedicated to employees and their families.
Agreement with Sassuolo Hospital
This agreement allows employees and their family members to access specialist consultations and diagnostic services at discounted rates and with reduced waiting times.
Raising Awareness on Health and Well-being
We support internal awareness initiatives focused on health and well-being and promote an active lifestyle through partnerships with local gyms, swimming pools and pharmacies. We also offer employees the opportunity to receive the seasonal flu vaccine directly at the workplace, making preventive healthcare more accessible.
On-site Defibrillators
To ensure workplace safety, our facilities have been equipped with 13 defibrillators since 2010. Instructors from Sassuolo Hospital certified by the AHA have trained employees in First Aid procedures and the use of defibrillators through BLSD courses.
Schools and Educational Organizations
The company collaborates with local schools and educational organizations, promoting educational initiatives and awareness projects for younger generations on topics related to human and environmental health, prevention and safety.
Free Health Screenings
In collaboration with Sassuolo Hospital S.p.A., we offer free health screenings to our employees. Over the years, we have promoted three different screening programs.
"Florim mette una virgola rosa"
Through the “Florim Puts a Pink Comma” project, developed in collaboration with Sassuolo Hospital S.p.A., we encouraged and offered all female employees the opportunity to take part in screening programs aimed at preventing the most common cardiovascular and gynecological diseases.
The results have been remarkable: 191 cardiology examinations and 182 gynecological examinations, followed by dedicated follow-up activities, made it possible in some cases to detect the early stages of cancers that might otherwise have progressed and seriously compromised patients’ health.
"Alfa Salus"
In 2023, we invited all male employees over the age of 50 to participate in an initiative aimed at the prevention of prostate cancer, the most common cancer affecting men. The campaign, promoted by Florim together with Sassuolo Hospital, received 125 participation requests. The name chosen for this screening initiative carries a clear meaning: “ALFA” (άλφα, alpha) is the first letter of the ancient Greek alphabet, while “SALUS” refers to the Roman goddess of health. “Alfa Salus” therefore conveys the message of a pioneering project dedicated to promoting the health of Florim people, placing prevention at its core.
"Uno screening per la vita"
The awareness campaign “A Screening for Life. For You, For Others”, promoted by AVIS, aimed to increase the number of blood donors within the local community.
AVIS healthcare professionals carried out blood tests and electrocardiograms, which were assessed thanks to the valuable support of Dr. Ermentina Bagni and Dr. Marcella Camellini from Sassuolo Hospital. A total of 176 employees took part in the initiative. Thanks to this project, many participants were able to gain valuable insights into their health status, and 112 individuals were found eligible to become blood donors.
