Formatech wins the Green Good Design Award 2026
March 25, 2026
A new international recognition for Florim’s commitment to combining design innovation and environmental sustainability: the Formatech collection has received the Green Good Design Award, one of the world’s most prestigious awards dedicated to sustainable design.
The collection stems from the collaboration between Florim and Gensler, two entities that share the ambition of creating surfaces that go beyond products, becoming design tools capable of expressing material, its transformation, and its permanence over time.
The architecture firm Gensler outlined its needs by proposing a valuable design tool for architects and designers. Florim contributed its industrial know-how and commitment to sustainability to turn this vision into matter. The result is a collection that celebrates the essence of foundational materials, translating it into durable, responsible surfaces designed to stand the test of time.
The Green Good Design Award, promoted by the “Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design” together with “The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies”, annually recognizes projects and products worldwide that lead design towards ever higher standards of sustainability, innovation, and environmental responsibility.
After Sensi, FLORIM stone and SensiTerre, Formatech also joins the international archive of projects selected by the award, confirming Florim’s role among the leading players in sustainable design.
