Florim rejoins the "M'illumino di Meno" campaign

This year, on National Energy Saving Day, Florim is once again taking part in the “M’illumino di Meno” campaign. On Sunday, 16 February, the exterior lighting of Florim’s 4.0 plants in Fiorano Modenese and Mordano will remain switched off for the entire day as an awareness-raising action on energy saving.

All plants are equipped with state-of-the-art systems incorporating energy-efficiency solutions.

• Since 2011, Florim has invested in photovoltaic systems for the production of electricity. To date, the company has installed panels over 127,000 sqm of surface area for a total capacity of 12.3 MWp.

Photovoltaic and cogeneration systems contribute to the self-production of electricity for the Italian sites; when internal generation is not sufficient, Florim purchases electricity from certified renewable sources.

• About 80% of the production facilities are lit with low-energy LED lighting.
• An internal manual on energy saving has been distributed to spread good practices in the workplace and at home.

ISO 50001 certified for energy management, Florim is committed to monitoring and reducing energy waste over time. Aware that the energy transition is a shared challenge, through this symbolic gesture the company contributes to the awareness campaign, inviting the local community to reflect on the need to reduce consumption and preserve resources.
