Storie by CEDIT wins the Good Design Award
April 30, 2018
The Storie collection by CEDIT - Ceramiche d'Italia has won over the jury of the Good Design Award, one of the most historic and prestigious international design awards, in the "floor and wall coverings" category.
Appreciated for its contemporary design, the Storie collection designed by Studio Zanellato/Bortotto features large ceramic slabs with unique effects, offering visual expressiveness inspired by the slow and fascinating fading over time of plasters and wall decorations in traditional Italian architecture.
The Good Design Award, organized by the Chicago Athenaeum - Museum of Architecture and Design, was established in Chicago in 1950 by world-renowned designers and architects Edgar Kaufmann Jr., Eero Saarinen, and Charles and Ray Eames.
The jury, composed of professionals and experts in the field, industrial specialists, and specialized press, awards the most innovative products of the year, which are then permanently exhibited at the Chicago Athenaeum.
With the Storie collection designed for CEDIT, young Venetian designers Giorgia Zanellato and Daniele Bortotto have once again won over the international jury, after winning the German Red Dot Design Award in 2017 in the Best of the Best category.
