Evento in sala conferenze per Premio Lucchese | Sede Florim Ceramiche Fiorano Modenese | Florim

The annual Lucchese Award ceremony took place on Saturday, May 23 at Florim Gallery. The initiative is promoted by the Ing. Giovanni Lucchese Foundation in memory of the founder of Floor Gres and father of Florim’s current President, Claudio Lucchese.

In this 39th edition, 12 scholarships were awarded to students from the “Alessandro Volta” Institute in Sassuolo who graduated in 2025 with top marks.

The event program included a moment of collective reflection and discussion involving fourth-year students from all the Institute’s study programs, invited to take part in a debate on the topic: “SLOW LIFE or FAST LIFE: in a society that is constantly rushing, is slowness a luxury to rediscover or an obstacle to progress?”.

In today’s context, marked by acceleration, productivity and performance, the debate offered a broader interpretation of progress, capable of embracing values such as reflection, depth and authentic relationships.

Two opposing teams presented their perspectives to the audience through debate and critical thinking. Moderated by an impartial fellow student, the members of each team carried out extensive research in the weeks leading up to the event, gathering data and concrete examples before confronting one another with analytical arguments, creativity and strong communication skills. As tradition dictates, the event was hosted by journalist Leo Turrini.

The Lucchese Award is part of the calendar of initiatives and events promoted by the Ing. Giovanni Lucchese Foundation, which focuses its efforts on supporting the local community. The award renews its commitment to encouraging academic excellence and strengthening the dialogue between education and industry.

Alongside Florim President Claudio Lucchese, the event was attended by the Principal of IIS A. Volta in Sassuolo, Sabrina Paganelli, and Cristina Siligardi, President of the Italian Ceramic Society, which collaborates in organizing the Award.
