Our company celebrates 14 years of clean energy production and launches a new project worth over €3.5 million, aimed at expanding the photovoltaic systems and introducing an innovative energy storage system.
With 127,000 square meters already covered by panels and an annual production of 14,317 MWh, we are preparing to cover an additional 48,000 square meters with new photovoltaic modules at the Fiorano Modenese site. Once the works are completed, expected by December 2025, the total area will reach over 175,000 square meters, with a total production of approximately 17,930 MWh per year.
A distinctive element of the project is the creation of a next-generation 5 MWh battery, designed to store the energy produced and not immediately consumed. This system will optimize energy flows and increase the plant's autonomy, improving the overall efficiency of the production site.
Thanks to the two cogeneration units and both existing and new photovoltaic systems, we will be able to produce an amount of electricity equal to the average annual consumption of over 25,000 families — more than the residents of Sassuolo and Fiorano Modenese combined.
Between 2012 and the end of 2026, thanks to all the systems that will be in operation, Florim will have avoided the emission of over 185,000 tons of CO₂, a result that demonstrates a constant commitment and an industrial vision based on environmental responsibility.
In this way, we confirm a growth path based on innovation, sustainability, and care for the local area, continuing to invest in a long-term oriented production model.
