Gurney's Resort, set against the distinctive backdrop of the American Hamptons, is known for its direct connection to water.
Part of the structure overlooks the sea, offering guests a relaxing and charming place in which to enjoy moments of rest. The design, characterized by simple and clean lines, recalls the modern style of the new spas, which aim to integrate nature into the environment - through colour and through the choice of natural materials and selected textures.
The recently renovated indoor spa measures nearly 30,000 square metres. Four thermal pools have been arranged inside an intentionally dark room, so as to give the environment a sense of tranquillity. The thermal pools are superimposed on a seawater pool that draws and filters water directly from the ocean, offering spectacular views of the outside landscape.
All the surfaces, floors, and external and internal walls of the pools, including the details of the pool edges and steps, are clad with Florim porcelain stoneware tiles belonging to the Buildtech/2.0 collection.
The collection combines the neutrality of concrete and the decisive character of its colours. The three colours chosen for the project - Coal, Bone and White - alternate one after the other, creating a unique and balanced environment.
