The health and safety of employees are the focus of the FLORIM CARE project, a functional program for the resumption of working activities specifically created for the protection of all Florim staff. A rigorous protocol, in effect from April 27th and based on 4 main pillars: Diagnosis, Distance, Digitization and Devices.
“After the production stop – explains the President Claudio Lucchese – the company is gradually resuming its activities, paying scrupulous attention to all the procedures necessary to ensure a progressive ‘’safe’’ return “to normality.”
FLORIM CARE – reachable through a dedicated landing page – is accessible to all employees and collects all the official procedures promoted by the company and the behaviors to follow to avoid spreading the infection.
The protocol identifies the diagnosis as the basis for prevention. To protect all workers, especially the most fragile ones, the body temperature will be detected at the entrance – for now on a voluntary basis only – always recalling the importance of prevention measures and self-diagnosis.
The second key point is the respect of distance. In order to avoid gatherings and minimize contacts between employees within the common areas, Florim has organized staggered entry and exit times and diversified access gates. “Always attentive to research and technological innovation – continues Lucchese – we have identified a proximity detection device equipped with LED lights, which alerts workers if they are too close to a colleague“.
The project also includes increased digitization; the meetings will continue to be virtual and smartworking is preferred.
The last pillar of the plan are the devices; to combine safety and operational efficiency, along with periodic sanitization of the environments, Florim provides employees with visors, masks, disposable gloves, sanitizing products for surfaces and hand sanitizing gels. The first aid team is equipped with a supplementary kit including coveralls and a thermometer.
“We are studying other important additional measures knowing that prevention is the pillar to protect health. We want to create, even in these dramatic circumstances, a work environment to make our employees feel serene and confident about their future ” concludes Lucchese.
