Gamper was the recipient of the Moroso Award for Contemporary Art, the Wallpaper Award for Best Use of Colour in 2011 and the Wallpaper Award for Best Alchemist. He owes his international fame to the “A 100 Chairs in 100 Days and its 100 Ways” project, which he began in 2005: specialising in the reuse of unused materials, he collected 100 scrapped chairs and reassembled them in new combinations. He designed Prada Corners, a shop window concept that pays homage to a geometrical symbol – the corner – and creates perspective within the display area.
